Week 15
Week 15: This week involves writing my ethics management plan. Ethical issues include informed and voluntary consent, respect for rights and confidentiality and preservation of anonymity, minimisation of harm, cultural and social sensitivity, limitation of deception, respect for intellectual and cultural property ownership, avoidance of conflict of interest, and research design adequacy

Ethical Issues |
Management plan |
|
Informed and voluntary consent |
It is critical to appropriately give informed and voluntary consent before conducting any interview. Therefore, I must first ask for informed consent through a written paper or verbally to legally interview an individual or group. Furthermore, if I do a
data collection interview, I can ask their permission after their
participation |
|
Respect for rights and confidentiality and
preservation of anonymity |
It is essential to use caution to prevent
confidentiality violations when data is disclosed to third parties. This
protects volunteers from psychological, social, and legal harm and is
especially necessary while researching delicate subjects. Gathering anonymous
data, or using it if it has already been obtained, is the most straightforward
approach to maintaining interviewee anonymity. Anonymous data are not linked
to any information that could be used to identify a specific person. |
|
Minimisation of harm |
To minimise or reduce harm to the
participants, I will make every effort to minimise any possible harm to
the people, families, and organisations that took part in the study by
closely following health and safety regulations to ensure their well-being,
respecting their right to privacy, and avoiding any unfavourable portrayal or
representation that might damage their reputation or image. |
|
Cultural and social sensitivity |
I will explicitly gather data from the
relevant demographic to perform cultural and social sensitivity, ensuring
their viewpoints and experiences are represented equally. In addition, I will
respect personal space and refrain from inquiring about unrelated or
intrusive demographics while concentrating on the pertinent group or subject. |
|
Limitation of deception |
I will stick to the following principles to prevent or limit deception in the interview.
Firstly, whenever possible and suitable, I will notify participants about their participation in the investigation. Secondly, when the
quality and integrity of the material must be maintained, I will notify them
of their involvement in the research and provide relevant data following
their observation or contribution. |
|
Respect for intellectual and cultural
property ownership |
It is ethical
to respect intellectual and cultural property ownership; I will do
this by properly crediting the original contributors of
intellectual and cultural works and ensuring proper reference and
citation to acknowledge my sources accurately. |
|
Avoidance of conflict of interest |
One of the ethical issues is the avoidance of
conflict of interest. To do this correctly, I pledge to protect the privacy
of any sensitive information and avoid giving it to or sharing it with other
participants who might have a conflict of interest. |
|
Research design adequacy |
Another ethical issue is creating an
adequate research design. To do this, I will do the following to ensure my
research design is adequate. I will accurately define the study objectives so my design aligns with the anticipated outcomes. Before conducting a full
literature review, I will ensure the examined literature and existing studies
are relevant to the research issue. I will choose representative
samples using the right targeted candidates and an appropriate sampling
procedure. I will make sure to analyse data correctly by using an appropriate
analysis strategy. Consider ethical issues by ensuring the
research design abides by ethical norms and principles. Additionally, protect
candidates' rights and well-being to avert any potential injury. |
